Specialization in Business Mathematics

Admission

To be accepted into the Specialization in Business Mathematics, students must successfully pass a placement test (no multiple choice, open-ended questions only) held at the beginning of the winter semester and submit a letter of motivation. Applicants’ grades in Mathematics and Statistics are further criteria for admission.

Students have to register on the online registration page and for the placement test student have to register on LPIS. See also the page for the placement test on Learn@WU. All registration must be finalised within the stipulated period.

During registration, applicants are asked to upload their letters of motivation along with a grade transcript showing the applicant’s grades in Statistics and Mathematics, as PDF files. Both the placement test and the materials required to prepare for the test are in German and in English. The material needed for the placement test can be found under the menu point reading list.
