About the Group

The working group "Computational Intelligence" (CI) is a research group in computational and applied statistics established at the Department of Statistics and Probability Theory of the Vienna University of Technology. Special interest is given to all aspects of software development for data analysis, modeling unobserved heterogeneity, statistical learning and data visualization. The main application areas are marketing and biostatistics. We are heavily involved in the R Project for Statistical Computing.
